Foxgully Foxhounds

Foxgully Foxhounds was first established in 1991 when Kathy purchased her first foxhound from Le Gibson. Her first litter of Foxhounds was from Ch Casualeigh Quickstep by BIS  Ch Waterbear Buckshot in 1993. In the following years she bred 3 litters under the Foxgully prefix.The kennel name wasthen changed to Foxrhode to reflect involvement in Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Hamiltonstovares were added to the clan in 1999 when 'Tira', Australians first Hamilton was imported from New Zealand.

In 2006, Kathy along with partner Jamie recommenced breeding under the Foxgully making a decision to concentrate only on their much loved Foxhound breed.

Over the past 20 years Kathy has owned/bred 4 Australian GRAND Champions (two Foxhounds, Rhodesian Ridgeback and Hamiltonstovare), owned/bred a further 20 Australian Champion Foxhounds and 3 Hamiltonstovare Champions. Foxgully and Foxrhode Foxhound Champions can also be found in the USA (5), New Zealand(1), India (1) and Brazil(2).

Currently we have dogs being campaigned in Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney and also India and the USA. In 2007 two our boys finished their puppy class showing with outstanding results. Banjo, owned by Kathy and Jamie finishing as No 1 Hound puppy in Australia (showdogs pointscore)and No 2 hound puppy in Victoria. (Dogzonline) and Buckley fnaishing as No 1 Hound puppy in Qld (Dogzoline).

We currently (17/6/11) own the No 1 Foxhound (Dogzonline) and also No 1 puppy Foxhound (Dogzonline) in Australia.

In addition to showing Foxhounds and Hamiltonstovares, Kathy has also successfully handled many other breeds including Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Blue Ticked Coonhound, English Setter, Irish Red and White Setter, Standard Poodle, Borzoi, Siberian Huskies and a Rhodesian Ridgeback to his CD obedience title.

Kathy is a licensed to judge Hounds at open show level. She is the Vice President of the Sale Maffra& District Kennel Club and Show Secretary for the Macalister Kennel Club.She is a life member of the Macarthur Dog Training Club (NSW), Past President of the East Gippsland Dog Obedience Club, past Treasurer of the NSW Rottweiler Club and the Gippsland RSPCA.

Jamie is currently the President of the Sale Maffra Kennel Club and Vice President of the Macalister Kennel Club.

At Foxgully, we are committed to producing sound, healthy puppies that meet all the requirements of the English Foxhound breed standard that will mature into happy, well adjusted hounds that are a pleasure to have as pets and show dogs alike.

Kathy has been involved with the Victorian State Goverments Responsible Pet ownership program since its inception 11 years ago. She is the East Victorian Regional Co-Ordinationer & often visits schools and preschools with Banjo and Joshua.
